THERE’S NO PLACE LIKE Project HOME Again Fundraiser is on!
94% CompleteRaised To Date: $35,270
Our goal is to raise $37,400 without spending a single penny on a rubber chicken dinner, mailings, or hiring professional fundraisers. We take our responsibilities to both our clients and our donors very seriously. After analyzing our yearly expenses, we have discovered it averages out to costing PHA $18 per each family we serve – which is amazing if you think about it. Clients who walk through our door may leave with a completely furnished home and we have been able to accomplish it spending very little money. Please consider helping us turn more houses into homes in 2017. With your help, we can skip traditional fundraising methods and concentrate on what we do best – help low incomes families live with the comfort and dignity they deserve. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
It is getting awfully cold outside and this time of year, and our greatest need to keep our clients warm is to have enough blankets and comforters on hand to give away. This month we are partnering with Helen Thomas Simply Smashing, who has graciously offered to help us collect new and gently used blankets. If you cannot make it to PHA, you can drop them off right at Helen Thomas and they will make sure they get to us.
We are in great need of full and queen sized sheets, blankets and comforters. Singles or complete sets welcomed! We want to make sure we can help all of our clients to get a good night sleep. And speaking of a Good Night Sleep…
An e-mail came in recently from a social worker requesting two twin beds for her client’s children. They are fourteen and fifteen years old and have never had their own beds. They’ve been sharing a nearly eighteen year-old mattress on the floor since they were babies. The family just got a great apartment and the mom wants to give her kids their own space. Because of generous donors, for just $150, we will be able to supply the teens with new beds. So keep those donations rolling in – each dollar makes a difference in the life of a family that needs a little help turning their house into a true home.
